As the youngest son of Andy and Coeina, Robert Anderson, known as Rob was born on March 14, 1955 in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

As a child, Rob was active in the Boy Scout program at his elementary school, Southern Hills, in Oklahoma City, achieving the highest rank possible for a Cub Scout, the rank of Webelo.

In late 1980, Rob enlisted in the US Navy and served in the inactive reserve program, which was sufficient to give him Veterans status. Due to being diagnosed as night blind, Rob was discharged in early 1981.

During High School, he was active in student council, National Forensic League, Thespian Society and DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America. DECA led him to his first job as a stockman for TG&Y.  After High School, Rob started a long career as a retailer, having won numerous awards for sales and marketing over the years. In 1983, he became the Manager of Gordon’s TV and Satellite and the company advertising Manager, forming an in house agency called Adcon. After leaving Gordons, Rob continued Adcon until the oil bust in the 80s forced him to fold the company.

Rob graduated from Oklahoma City Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Broadcast Journalism in 1997. After college, Rob continued a short career in broadcasting becoming in studio producer for the Oklahoma City RedHawks, now known as the Oklahoma City Dodgers, and was the first advertising intern in the history of Oklahoma City radio station KTOK. Unable to locate suitable employment in broadcasting and advertising, Rob reentered the retail profession until his forced retirement in 2010. Since that time, he provides services for Enterprise Rent a Car.

In 2005, he graduated from the Oklahoma City Citizens Fire Academy and joined the Oklahoma City Fire Academy Alumni Association, being active to this date. He has held positions as Secretary and Newsletter Editor. He is also a founding member of Oklahoma City Fire Corps. Rob volunteers his time providing traffic and perimeter control for events such as the annual Nichols Hills, Oklahoma Redbud Classic and the Del City Armed Forces Parade.
